Modern life can be very busy and we can often find it hard to stop and appreciate things. With Just Being Yoga I want to create space for people to slow down and experience the present moment. To be able to find the beauty, calm and energy that can come from getting in touch with the body and simply breathing. To be able to get to know themselves better. This is the process of yoga, the skills found here can be practised both on and off the mat and can truly expand and enrich our lives.

When we’re living through unusual times it can be easy to get caught up in outside energies and potentially lose our heads. Yoga is as much about expanding our minds as working with our bodies. Often our narrow, fixed views of ourselves and others hold us back. We don’t believe we can meditate, we don’t think we’ll ever be able to achieve that posture, we don’t think that other person will ever change. These views do nothing… Continue reading Finding expansion
What makes yoga more than just exercise is the fundamental connection it utilises between body, breath and mind. The three are interlinked, anything that influences one influences the other two. This connection means we can use our breath to calm our mind and release tension in our bodies. Take a moment to sit and notice… Continue reading Breath as the gateway
